Subject:Turkey Trotting, Cat Napping.
Time:6:00 am.
Mood: not sleepy.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Mine was really nice. I spent the day mostly with family.

My muscles are really sore though. I participated in the turkey trot, which was five miles long. I'm really happy though! I shaved off 20 minutes from last year's time. I walked two miles, ran-walked two miles, and mostly ran the other one. But I'm not in shape (I haven't exercised in a long time), so I almost threw up at one point in the race. And now my muscles are scolding me. I'll be walking funny for the next few days haha. I really enjoyed doing the turkey trot though. The next race I'm going to participate in is going to be the Jingle Bell 5k. Crystal and I are going to take Emily and Angel along, and dress them up as a reindeer and Ms.Claus (although, we can't decide yet who should be who).

I have so much work I need to get done over the vacation. I have to read two books for mythology, one is called Parzival, and the other Green Grass, Running Water (I have had a month to read them, but I'm a procrastinator). We have already discussed the Parzival book in class, and it sounds really interesting. But I'm having a hard time getting into it. Everytime I go to read it, I get in zombie mode or something, find myself re-reading the same page over and over. So, I have been focusing on getting the other book read instead. And then I have a take-home test to do, and a history review with 100 short IDs & five essays topics on it. So I'll be very busy the rest of this vacation.

To keep myself focused, I'm even lending Crystal my PS3! I bought five new games for the PS3, so I'm really, really tempted to play it. But, I think I'm better off with it not here to distract me.

Aw man, it is already 6am! The race made my body all tired and I spent most of yesterday sleeping, which has thrown off my sleeping schedule. I better try and get to bed if I don't want to spend all day tomorrow sleeping again haha =)

Time:12:00 am.
Mood: sleepy.
I remember Teresa making an entry during the summer where she showed pictures of herself and Angelica when they were younger. I have been wanting to make an entry like that for some time now. So, here is my version! Below the cut, you will find various pictures of Crystal and me when we were little. There is one picture towards the bottom, where it looks like I'm sitting on a giant turd. Crystal and I used to argue over that picture. Anyways, click the lj-cut below if you are interested in seeing goofy Crystal and Steffanie when we were younger:...

Subject:A, Negative. B, Negative. O, Affirmative...and negative.
Time:2:24 pm.
Mood: cheerful.
I love this website, thinkgeek.com. They sell the coolest things!!

Recently I bought a DIY Blood Type Testing Kit from Thinkgeek's site. It came in the mail yesterday. I'm so happy, I finally know my blood type! That may sound like a strange thing to get excited over, but I have always wanted to know. From as far back as I can remember, anytime I have had to get blood drawn, I have always wondered what my blood type was. A few years ago I had to get blood drawn, and I asked the nurse if they could tell me, but she said the doctor has to order it as a test. But I have always been too nervous to ask the doctor, I feel like I would be bothering them with more extra, and unnecessary, work. So when I saw a blood type kit on Thinkgeek, I thought, finally I shall know! And know now I do! I am O Negative.

Here is what I have learned within the last day about O Negative blood:
O Negative is a rare blood type, but not the rarest. I think I read a statistic that said something like 5-10% of the population has O Negative. For donating purposes, O Negative is the only truly universal blood type. I can donate blood to everyone. O Positive is the second most universal blood type, only they can't donate blood to O Negative people. What does this mean for me? Well, while I can donate to absolutely everyone, I can only receive O Negative type blood. Interesting stuff!

Subject:The Longest Post
Time:1:57 am.
My Playstation 3 came in the mail about a week ago. I really like that game, Little Big Planet! It has an option where you can play online, and I have been playing with people all over the world. Since I have a European copy, I think I mostly play with people from Europe. Its really cool! My PS3 also came with this came called, Call of Duty. But I'm not really into shooter type games so I went on craigslist and found someone that is gonna trade me it for Street Fighter 4 tomorrow. I'm really excited! The last few days, I have mostly been playing Tomba though. Tomba is actually a PS-one game, but I have been having a fun time playing it! I have gotten the farthest on it than I have in over ten years!!!

A day before my PS3 came in the mail, something else came in the mail for me. When I got it, I thought that maybe it was the free game that was being included with the PS3. But when I opened it up, I pulled out a Zelda song book. My jaw dropped, and before even sifting through the package popcorn to see what else the box held, I ran to the first person I saw. "It's an Ocarina!!!!" I exclaimed excitedly to my Mom. My Mom then told me it was a surprise late-birthday gift from Crystal. Cheerfully sifting through the popcorn, I pull out a small box. Inside was a beautiful Tenor-C St. Louis Ocarina. The instrument has a pretty blue shiny coat on its clay. So far, I haven't learned any Zelda songs (they are too advanced), but I'm working on the lesson book that came with the Ocarina so I can get better. I have learned how to play the Happy Birthday song though!

In other news, I'll be getting a car soon! As you all may know, my Dad is helping me buy my first car. I'm really, really grateful to him for this. Even though I have told him that I'm okay with driving an older, used car, he is pretty dead set on getting me a new one. We have been looking at deals and cheaper cars in the paper every week. Right now, we're leaning towards either a new Ford Focus, or a Toyota Yaris. But it depends which is cheaper. We are hoping to buy a car in about a week or two.

As for jobs...no one has called me back! I have applied to over 15 places. But, I think I'm going to give job hunting a rest and wait until I have a car before I start looking for work again. Without a car, I'm kinda limited to jobs close to the house because I rely on family for transportation. But once I have a car, I can venture out into other areas. Also, school starts in only a few weeks, and by the time I actually start working (after interview, paperwork, orientation) I'll have to change my availability anyways. It may look bad for me to get hired on the grounds of open availability and then change to limited availability when I start working. Also, my school schedule is definitely going to change (I plan to make schedule changes) so I don't really know what hours I can work. So I think it is best to wait for now. BUt, I do plan to work from now on. I have bills that I need to pay. Especially with having a car, I can't expect my parents to give me gas money! Hopefully I'll have better luck finding a job in a few weeks!

There hasn't been much else going on really. As boring as the days have been, I'm kinda enjoying them. In only a few weeks, my life is going to get hectic again with school (especially the difficult Chemistry class!) and working. So I think of these last few weeks as a vacation! =)

Sorry for such a long post, I haven't posted in awhile lol.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRYSTAL!!
____________
Post ten of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive.
• NO CAPTIONS!!! It must be like we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just like we have to interpret your words.
• They must ALREADY be on your hard drive - no googling or flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.
• You do NOT have to answer any questions about any of your pictures if you don't want to.

_______

With the money I won from Bingo, I ended up buying a PS3. Its shipping through the mail, but should be here either Saturday or next Mon. I'm so excited! I bought a game for it called, Little Big Planet. But I accidently bought the European version. Lucky me, PS3 games aren't strictly region-coded so it should work on my US-PS3. But I'll have to register a european account to play this particular game online, and can't buy any extra items for it from the PSN store. I suppose that's a blessing though, as I don't really have any extra money that I can spend right now (well there is my credit card, but I really need to pay off a good portion before I can use it again, and this will stifle the temptation to use it to buy outfits for my sack-boy). Maybe in the future I can buy the US version, and re-sell this one. But for now, I'm happy with this version. I can't wait for my PS3 to come!

In other news, I have been job hunting. So far I have applied to: GardenRidge, Hollywood Video, PetCo (2 positions), BestBuy (2 positions), Toys R Us, Borders Westgate (2 positions), Borders Southpark Meadows, and Blockbuster. I applied to some of these jobs a few days ago, and the others yesterday. But if no one calls me by tomorrow, I'm gonna continue my job hunting and apply to: Baskin Robbins, Half-Price Books, two Gamestop locations. If no one calls me by Monday, I think I'm just going to go back to HEB as a bagger. I don't really want to, but I figure that I can at least bag for 6 months and then maybe transfer to a different department when an opening becomes available. I'll get first pick since I'll already be employed at HEB. But where I reeeally want to work is at PetCo. I applied to be a Dog Trainer. Even though I don't have any serious experience training dogs, the application said that they will train you to train them! I think I could really learn a lot from this job. I applied on Tuesday but still no call =(.

Subject:Which Direction is the Dancer Turning?
Time:12:40 am.
Mood: amused.
Which Direction do you see the dancer turning?
Supposedly:
If you see her turning clockwise-you are right brain dominant.
If you see her turning counter clockwise-you are left brain dominant.

When I first saw her, I saw her turning clockwise. Guess that may mean I'm a right brain person. That makes sense being that I'm left handed. If I stare at her foot long enough (the one on the leg going strait down), look somewhere else on the page (keeping her in the corner of my eye), or stare at the space between her foot and the shadow of her foot (again on the leg going strait down), I can make her go counter clockwise. But usually, the counter clockwise-ness only lasts about 15-20 seconds before she flips back over to clockwise.

As you may tell, I'm very mesmerized by this. I could stare at this twirling woman all day just to see if I can get her to go a different direction, lol.

I originally found this at this website: http://www.alchemysite.com/blog/2007/10/are-you-right-or-left-brain-dominant.html

Time:6:50 pm.
Mood: amused.
Crystal and my Mom's birthdays are coming up. I have been having a really hard time deciding what to get them, but I think I finally figured it out! My mom can take this to the grocery store and use this in case of an "emergency" and she doesn't want to leave her already full shopping cart. Crystal can carry it with her when she goes to work out, so she doesn't risk someone stealing her machine. Here is a video of it, tell me what you think, will they like it?

Hehehe, I'm just kidding XD. They would kill me if I got this for them.
I already have something picked out for Cree, but I'm not gonna say it because she may come on here and read it. I haven't yet decided what to get my Mom, she is always hard to shop for. But I saw downtown these fruit bouquet things that she may like. She is also always talking about wanting to get a manicure/pedicure, so I'm thinking that maybe I can treat her to it.

Subject:Alaska
Time:1:16 pm.
Alaska was a very pretty Siberian Husky that Crystal gave to Enoch about a year ago. This Husky is a little different than the others though, one of her grandparents happens to be a full-blooded wolf. This makes little Alaska, 1/4 wolf, as her mom was half Husky/half Wolf, and her dad was full Husky. Unfortunately for Alaska, she inherited the Wolf's energy level, which isn't really appropriate for a house pet. Combine that with the unfortunate twist that Alaska has been labeled by trainers as having an "Alpha" personality, plus her wolf side, this makes training her incredible difficult. Even more difficult is her listening to you.

So in February, Crystal and Enoch made a difficult decision to rehome Alaska to someone that was better equipped to handle wolf-hybrids and huskies. Many interviews later, Jennifer who also had a white wolf/husky mix, was settled on. Jennifer and Alaska drove off into the sunset, with doggy hopes of a good training and a lifelong household. A month passed, and Crystal gets an email from Jenni saying that Alaska is doing well and responding great to training.

Four months pass, and Crystal gets a call. But not from Jennifer, from Town Lake Animal Shelter. When Alaska was a puppy, she was microchipped under Crystal's name. So when Town Lake scanned Alaska, and Crystal's name came up, they called her to inform her that she was at the shelter. Further inquiry from Enoch came up that Jennifer surrendered her to the shelter, because she didn't get along well with their other dog.

Crystal and Enoch are upset at this girl. It took her five months to find out the dogs weren't compatible? On top of that, Jennifer knows that Town Lake euthanizes wolf-hybrids on the spot (she was the one that told us), so she knowingly was taking Alaska to her death. Plus, Crystal and Enoch specifically told Jennifer that if it didn't work out, to call them and they would take her back. Enoch tried to call Jennifer to get some of the stuff back he gave with Alaska (which probably comes to at least $50.) But she is ignoring his calls.

Yesterday, my Mom and I picked Alaska up from the Shelter. This dog's manners are even worse than before! Its like they didn't work with her at all! She jumps, nips, wont sit still for two seconds, chokes herself on the leash, its really bad. If you go on Wikipedia and look up ADHD, Alaska seriously has all the symptoms. This is the most hyper dog I have seen in my life. She needs an owner that will devote massive time, energy, love, and money into her. She needs training, daily long walks, and strict boundaries. Unfortunately, Alaska is also an Alpha personality, which is made even worse by the fact that she has wolf in her. This means that she wants to be dominant, so training her will prove difficult. She shouldn't be around children or other dogs, because she may try and dominate them. I feel very sorry for this dog, she is a bag of problems. After seeing her, I'm now completely against people breeding their dogs with Wolves. Wolves are wild animals, and they should stay wild. You bring a hybrid in, and you never know what kind of traits it may retain from its wolf parent/grandparent.

Fortunately, the guy that sold Alaska to Crystal and Enoch has agreed to accept her back. He is used to the energy of the Husky and Hybrids, so he is best equipped to handle her. Crystal and Enoch's apartment isn't appropriate, and this girl can't stay at my house because she tries to dominate Emily and Angel (which is dangerous because Emily fights back). So today I'm going to help Crystal take Alaska to San Marcos where we have arranged to meet the owner. I'm not really sure what he will do with her. I kind of hope he keeps her and doesn't try and sell her again. If he does adopt her out, I really hope he is careful and choosy, because this is not the dog for everyone.

I really like Alaska, I feel very bad for her. She is one of the prettiest dogs I have ever seen. I hope she can find a good home. Someone active that can take her on three mile walks everyday. Someone that will be firm and show her discipline. I hope it all works out for Alaska.

Subject:A Strange Order
Time:9:51 pm.
Mood: weirded out.
Something really strange happened that is really bothering me. So, I call my Mom to tell her goodnight, and she informs me that someone ordered a pizza in my name and had it delivered to the house back in Austin. I haven't ordered delivery pizza in over a month! My parents didn't accept the pizza, but I wonder what kind it was?

The reason why this bothers me is because now I'm paranoid that someone has stolen my info from a pizza site. Most of the time, I pay by credit card. I usually never save my credit card information online, when they have that option, but there is one pizza site where my card was saved automatically...I think it was Papa Johns. Anyways, so now I'm going to be watching my credit and debit card online transaction thingy like a hawk.

Unfortunately, my parents forgot to take note of which pizza place it was or ask their store location. But part of me thinks that this may just be a glitch on one of these pizza sites. I mean, what really would be the reason for someone ordering a pizza and delivering it to my house? To cause the pizza location more unnecessary work? Nonetheless, so far nothing has been charged on any of my cards. Maybe I'm just over thinking this lol.

I hope everyone had a nice Easter!! I spent mine with my family. I was given this delicious, foot-and-a-half tall, chocolate Bunny, which I have already eaten half of lol. Saturday was really awesome too! I really enjoyed seeing the Fast and Furious with my dear friends. I apologize to you guys if I was more quiet than normal, I was super sleepy because I went to bed really late the night before. I need to quit doing that haha

In other news, I have to talk to the Financial Aid office on Monday. I was on CatsWeb accepting and rejecting my financial aid awards for next school year. I turned away from my computer for a second to ask my Mom which Ford loan was the one that doesn't build up interest (subsidized or unsubsidized?). When I had my answer, I turned around only to find my little kitty laying on the keyboard. Zeke's big head hit the enter button, and made me accept both loans. So, I need to talk to them and let them know I don't want the Ford unsubsidized loan. Lol, I found this event rather amusing.

In other school news, I changed my major! I'm now double majoring in English-Creative Writing, and MassComm-Print Journalism, with a minor in media studies. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the Journalism major though. I have never actually taken a journalism class in my life, so I want to try it out. If I like it, I think it will increase my opportunities after college (b/c I'm worried Creative Writing may have limited opportunities). But, if I don't like it, I'll just drop it and stick solo with Creative Writing.

I saw Dragonball Evolution this weekend~! I went by myself after I dropped my Macbook off at the apple store to be fixed. But, I still wouldn't mind seeing it again with my friends if you guys haven't seen it and want to!

But for now, I'm gonna become a movie critic for a minute, and review it under a cut! If you haven't seen the movie, you shouldn't read the review, as it may contain spoilers. Anyways:

I just found out something really awesome like ten minutes ago!! I had to make a post! Honestly, I know it is April first, and so I was incredibly skeptical too. BUt, after some research, it turns out Disney and Square are coming out with a live action Kingdom Hearts movie!! Seriously, no joke!! Actually, the news broke about a couple of weeks ago, and its all over the gaming sites, buuuut I'm kind of slow on finding things out. So, I'm sure you all probably knew before me. Anyways, Square Enix has a news article with a very short teaser trailer in it. I know its just a teaser, but it looks really cool. I'll post a link to the article below. If any of you are a fan of Kingdom Hearts, you really need to read this article! AAhh, I'm so excited this is so friggin cool =D!! I'm sure Disney will do a much better job with this movie, then Fox ever could with the Dragonball one.

Anyways, here is the link:

I have a really long post to make about my day, but I'll put it under the cut so I don't take up all the space on your friend's page lol. Anyways: My Day )

I'm very dumbfounded right now. Seriously, I think Zeke is part dog!!! I'm in the process of teaching him how to "sit" on command. He picked up on the training really fast! Zeke is a really smart cat. If I continue doing this, I'm very certain that within the next couple of weeks he will be able to sit on command without being given a treat. This is just amazing!

What the hell?!!! Haha. So I have this icon of Linkin Park's Chester and Mike, only for some weird reason, LiveJournal changed it into an icon that says "Due In November" with baby feet. See, I'll set it as my post icon. This is like what happened to Bianca. When she had one that was of Tamaki that changed to a guy with a Saxophone. Hopefully it will change back, because it is weird to leave this up like this, I'm not due in november-- I'm not due anytime!! Lol, this is just funny.

~~Happy Birthday, Angelica!!!~~

I'm so happy! My dad gave me this brand new printer-scanner combo! Zeke broke my old Cannon at home (he thought it would be funny to drop tacs in the paper tray, and they fell into the printer, and now it no workie). And then the basic Lexmark printer that I used for school last year always gave me hell when I would try and print stuff. Like, it would jam the papers, or pull the paper in wrong, or not pull the paper in at all. So my dad gave me this new Epson printer to use for school. It is so cool!!! The thing I love most about it is that it has a scanner!! This means no more getting my artwork on my computer via the digital camera! I can finally scan my drawings, and get a clear picture! Yay! Lookie, I'm so excited, I scanned some drawings and put them in a cut below. I'm so happy ^0^~!

Subject:Dallas the Soap Opera
Time:2:25 pm.
Mood: happy.
Dallas was a lot of fun! We left on Thursday, July 3rd and came back Sunday, July 6th. My dogs seemed disappointed to see me back, lol. They have been on a diet for most of this summer, but on the days we were gone they were able to free feed. I think Angel may have gained all the weight back that she lost! Zeke, on the other hand, was very happy to be out of the PetsHotel and back home. All of Sunday and Monday he was glued to my hip. And he wouldn't let me have a good sleep Sunday night, because every two hours he would wake me up so I could cuddle with him. It was kind of like he was trying to make sure I was really there and would never leave him again.

I wanna run through my trip, day by day. So let’s get it started, ha, let’s get it started in here. Running Running...erm, here I go:

Next Stop, Dallas! Dallas! Dallas! )

I posted some of the photos from the Dallas trip in an album on facebook if anyone is interested. Here is a link: http://www.facebook.com/album/DallasTimes

About my new hairstyle, Bianca was completely right. I didn't really like it at first, but it has grown on me. Especially now that I have learned how to manage it. Before, the reason why I didn't like it so much was that it poofed at the top, because it was too short. But I have found that hairspray and smooth serum (which is like Gel) help prevent that. So I really don't mind my hair anymore. One thing is for sure, I like it so much better than my pony tail that I have been carrying around forever! And I guess I can say, I really like my new hairstyle!
